Beauty tip of the week: Bridal Beauty

If you are engaged and your wedding is in the near future, listen up ladies. Ever wonder what your make-up should look like on your wedding day? Well, we have a few tips for you to keep it classic and beautiful.

On your wedding day, you do not want to try anything crazy, tricky, or different from what you normally wear. You want to look like your beautiful self just a bit more enhanced. Keep in mind that you do not want to pick trendy make-up either because down the road… you will be wondering “what was I thinking?” The trick is, wear your make-up as if you were going to a black tie event. You can either do it by yourself or have an esthetician do it for you. However, just make sure you do a trial run before the big day.

Here are some make-up tips for your big wedding day:

• Wear a shade of blush. Pink for light skin, and rose for darker skin.

• Wear waterproof mascara to withstand through the tears.

• Highlight your cheekbones and brow bones with a white shadow.

• Charcoal, navy, or mahogany are nice choices for eye liners but just make sure that you keep shadow light to medium.

• Define your bows with a pencil that matches your natural hair color but try not to make them too overpowering.

• Wear a lipstick that has more color than your everyday neutral color. Try using two colors together like have brown as your base and use pink on top or have it the other way around. If you don’t take this tip, you will look washed out in your pictures.

• Make sure you blend your make-up down your neck and chest to avoid those lines.

• Avoid frosted make-up, since it creases easily and is too reflective for photographs.

• Keep lipstick and powder with you for touch-ups throughout the evening.

• Take some de-reddening eye drops with you too so your eyes won’t look tired.

• Take along your personalized wedding day perfume to freshen up.

If you follow these tips, you will surely look and feel pretty on your big day.
