Apples and Bananas

An apple a day can help keep the doctor away! That saying is definitely true. Did you know that Apples have been known to promote cardiovascular health by lowering LDL cholesterol and preventing strokes? That’s not all this amazing fruit can do. They can also help maintain your healthy diet and weight. Apples have flavanoid properties that help prevent certain types of cancers like prostate cancer and liver cancer. They also provide the mineral boron that aids the health of your bones.
The American Heart Association has done studies on Bananas that show that they can actually prevent strokes. You see, people who incorporate potassium rich foods (i.e. bananas, potatoes, and grapes) into their diet have a lesser chance to encounter a stroke incident. Bananas are available all year round and they are an instant source of energy for the human body. Bananas are rich in Vitamin B6, fiber, vitamin C, and potassium. Potassium is essential to helping muscles contract when exercising and they prevent muscles from cramping up during rigorous activity. Bananas and apples are considered to be super fruit!

At ESSpa, we highly suggest and incorporate healthy and organic living into everyday life. That is why we have provided complimentary apples and bananas for ESSpa guests everyday. We try to support healthy living for everyone who has had a taste of the ESSpa experience.
