President Obama hosts G-20 Economic Summit in Pittsburgh, PA

President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama will welcome G-20 leaders to the United States at a reception at Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens in Oakland (just minutes from Downtown Pittsburgh) on Thursday, Sept. 24, officials said Monday.

The leaders of the world’s largest economies and their spouses will be greeted soon after arriving in Pittsburgh, the White House announced. President Obama and the G-20 leaders will remain at Phipps for a working dinner. A dinner for Mrs. Obama and the First Spouses will be held at Rosemont, a working farm in Fox Chapel owned by philanthropist Teresa Heinz.

The G-20 leaders will reconvene Friday morning, Sept. 25, at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center, Downtown.
